She guides clients through every phase of a matter—from the first notice of a claim through investigation, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, settlement, and trial. Her practice is distinguished by careful preparation, practical judgment, mutual respect, extensive trial experience, and an exceptional record of obtaining dismissals and favorable resolutions.
Sarah began practicing law in 2013 at Schuering Zimmerman & Doyle, LLP, a Sacramento medical malpractice defense firm, and became a partner in 2021. In January 2025, she joined the esteemed Pollara Law Group as a partner. Sarah was selected as a Northern California "Rising Star" Super Lawyer in 2022, and a Northern California Super Lawyer each year from 2023 to present.
A native of small-town Michigan and a lifelong Wolverine fan, Sarah traded Michigan winters for California sunshine while attending the University of California, San Diego. There, she competed as a varsity rower (stroke for the 8, the 4, and a pair!) and helped her team achieve consecutive second-place national finishes. She later graduated with honors from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, now UC Law San Francisco. While in law school, Sarah externed for Justice Joyce Kennard of the California Supreme Court, competed on the nation’s top-ranked moot court team, and won the California moot court state championship.
Sarah’s greatest adventure is raising her son, Rex. The two share a love of travel; Rex visited 11 countries before turning 3! She also keeps a busy home with two large dogs, two rabbits, and a brood of chickens. Unsurprisingly, Sarah’s negotiation skills are tested just as frequently at home as they are in the courtroom.
